MASSAGE WITH ERIKA KEEGAN

Erika has a backround in yoga, meditation and dentistry, these experiences have cultivated knowledge and skills to create a more holistic and expansive approach to life.  Holistic massage aswell as reiki has been naturally the next beautiful step for Erika take on her journey of discovery.

WHAT IS HOLISTIC MASSAGE?

Holistic massage is an ancient method of healing that clears the lymphatic system and releases toxins from the body while also rejuvenating and restoring muscles.  By recognising that illness and stress affect not only our physical body but also our emotional, spiritual and mental wellbeing, holistic massage promotes the body’s natural healing abilities to come forward and balance the entire being.

Nelson Acroyoga Workshops: Foundations of acrobatic and therapeutic “flying” yoga

Nelson is in for a special treat on the afternoons of May 11 & 12. The Life Center is proud to host International yoga teacher Trevor Gribble as we create 2 playful days of partner-based Acroyoga.
Acroyoga is a celebration in fusion of traditional yoga with innovation in contemporary acrobatic movements wherein we experience divine harmony through presence and balance with another. In a safe and nurturing environment, we cultivate trust, confidence, loving kindness and playfulness through asana, strength conditioning, partner stretching, counterbalances, inversions, Thai massage elements and therapeutic flying, basing and spotting.
Fitness and flexibility beyond beginner level is required i.e. ability to hold a properly aligned plank (top of a push-up) for at least 30 seconds without discomfort. Bringing a partner is unnecessary but welcome; there are plenty of us to play with!
The 2 hour classes runs from 1-3PM on Saturday, May 11 & Sunday, May 12. It is encouraged to attend both classes, as the second class will build upon material introduced in the first.  However, if you can only attend on Sunday, that is still okay. Each class is just $20 so please encourage your yoga friends to come out and play on these wonderful days to celebrate community.
